THE VIRTUAL LABORATORY

The Virtual Laboratory of ThinkinGolem is an education and training environment devoted to:

• knowledge spreading of software technology based on Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Life systems by on-line scientific and technological courses according to the Open Content philosophy;
• cooperation in Information Technology projects characterized by highly innovative contents freely available to the whole information community according to the Open Source philosophy.

Projects developed in the Virtual Laboratory environment acquire sense in this formative framework. They have a double purpose:

• first, they help to focus the attention of technologists and researchers on Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Life topics in order to produce new relevant results;
• second, they train participants by cooperative workgroup, helping them to get in contact with typical problems linked to the development of intelligent software, in order to enable them to provide their intellectual contribution in this sector.

Therefore, the Virtual Laboratory ThinkinGolem is developing and supporting should provide the means for building and spreading software, knowledge, ideas, and any other information about the intelligent software field, according to the free philosophies of Open Content and Open Source. The community should become a virtual space for interaction and cooperation among Information Technology users, researchers, technologists, and simply interested people, under the assistance of high-skilled experts of our staff.

Currently, it is possible to subscribe a public list by which you can receive periodical updates about our activities. More discussion lists about projects and education and training events will be activated in case of need.
